Senior Vendor Management Analyst New York, New York

We are seeking a Senior Vendor Management Analyst to join our growing consulting team and support the delivery of vendor management services across multiple clients. This role is designed for an experienced analyst who can work independently and manage vendor-related activities with minimal oversight.

You’ll handle the full scope of vendor management functions — from onboarding and contract management to invoice reconciliation and performance tracking — while collaborating closely with Relationship Managers and clients. As a senior member of the team, you will also provide guidance to junior analysts and take on more complex issues and projects as needed.

This role is ideal for someone ready to take the next step beyond an Analyst role — managing more complex work, driving resolutions, and supporting clients with minimal guidance. You’ll gain exposure to a variety of industries and have the opportunity to grow into a future service lead or client-facing role.

Salary range is $70,000 – $80,000 annually (based on experience and location). Actual compensation is guided by various factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. Key Responsibilities

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Maintain accurate vendor and contract inventories, tracking terms, pricing, and renewal dates.
  • Assist with vendor onboarding, due diligence, and performance tracking.
  • Support contract renewals and identify opportunities for cost optimization.

Invoice Review & Financial Tracking

  • Review and reconcile invoices, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing issues.
  • Provide reporting and analysis to support client budgeting and spend management.

Client Support & Issue Resolution

  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for client requests and vendor-related inquiries.
  • Escalate complex issues when needed, while independently resolving routine problems.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers to ensure client expectations are met.

Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Prepare reports and dashboards to track key metrics and vendor performance.
  • Suggest improvements to processes and assist with documentation of best practices.

Team Support

  • Offer guidance to junior analysts on day-to-day tasks.
  • Step in to handle higher-complexity work or urgent requests when needed.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Strong skills in Excel, data analysis and visualization tool; familiarity with vendor management or procurement tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client priorities and deadlines effectively.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or contract management.
  • Financial Service Industry experience is a plus

Work Arrangement

This is a full-time position with normal Monday through Friday business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. This position operates in a professional home office environment and role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Must reside within the US in the Eastern time zone; ideally the New York Metropolitan area.
