As a Market Data Analyst you will focus on exchange compliance, reporting, and user verification. You’ll handle hands-on processes such as exchange reporting, declarations, and user verification, while also assisting with audits and cost analysis. Over time, you’ll play a role in automating reporting and enhancing compliance analytics, making this an excellent path for candidates interested in both compliance and technology.
This role combines compliance accuracy with technical growth potential. Starting with hands-on verification and reporting, you’ll have opportunities to expand into business analytics and automation, making this ideal for candidates who want to blend compliance expertise with technical skills.
This is a junior level role with a good faith salary compensation between $42,500.00 – $50,000.00 annually. Actual compensation is guided by various factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit exchange reporting and declarations.
- Manage non-professional user verification and related compliance checks.
- Maintain compliance documentation and audit records.
- Analyze data to identify anomalies, risks, or optimization opportunities.
- Support modernization projects in reporting and reconciliation by recommending and adopting automation.
- Work with our internal Relationship Managers to explain compliance results to clients.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft 365 product suite
- Advance Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity in at least one of the following for data analysis and data extraction is a plus – SQL, Python, or VBA.
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly and concisely to a wide audience.
- Interest in market data policies, market data technologies and automation tools.
Experience
This is a full-time position with normal Monday through Friday business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. This position operates in a professional home office environment and routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Remote within the US in the Eastern time zone; ideally the New York Metropolitan area.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, or related discipline.
